A FAST CHANGING REALITY OF INDIAN MEDIA!
Role of media is that of mediation between the government and the people of the nation. Due to its responsibilities, media is the fourth pillar of the democratic India. The main role of media is to inform and influence its audience about the happenings of the country.
Before moving ahead we need to ask ourselves and think as to is Indian media playing the role for what it has been known that is the fourth pillar of the democratic India? If not then what role it should play?

INDIAN MEDIA is given full freedom regarding the coverage of news and doing investigation in their own way without any interruption. Very often they misuses this freedom given to them and it is evident from a number of issues. The selfishness of getting higher TRP is way more important for them than anything else.

Indian media is giving a big competition to bollywood. As in they create a big dramatic scene of a small issue for TRPs rather than focusing on the main point. Just like bollywood movie they start with BREAKING NEWS as a small trailer and then they show a full climax scene which is full of drama, drama and only drama.
They are expert in adding fuel to the fire. They ask rubbish questions to the victim and his family without seeing their situation. For instance, when sushant singh rajput died, journalists were seen asking his father how are u feeling? Like what ….are they really dumb or behaving as dumb people.
Generally media is known as the voice of general public and it acts as a medium to tell people’s problems to the world. But this is not seen in case of INDIAN MEDIA. They are busy covering those news which leads to high TRPs , even though those news are just baseless discussions. Media coverage includes matters which are of no use to the citizen but surely for their own mileage. News is supposed to connect the world and not a drama in which media ethics, duties and purpose is lost.

Have u ever seen that they cover news regarding problems of poor and medium class of people who really are in need of their support? NEVER….. Because they are only interested in topics which backed them with more money.
For instance, Serious issues like the crisis in Kashmir, dissent in universities and even the unrest in societies where Dalits have been discriminated or killed, have received least mention in media coverage. While in case of bollywood drugs case, even though they are not knowing the whole truth they are 24*7 busy covering the same story only.

In democracies the media is controlled by wealthy individuals with political affiliations. Objective media and journalists simply do not exist in the mainstream. They cover the news for political rivalry and create a big havoc in the country.INDIAN MEDIA is generally more biased and due to which people are not able to have trust on them.

If these media houses start doing their job honestly then the scenerio might be something different. Then many people would get justice and many problems will get an amicable solutions. Because media has that power to fight with the injustice and give justice to the needy. Media is required to be impartial and independent in the reporting of political incidents. This is the responsibility that needs to be understood and taken up by the Indian journalism.
